Rolling Plains Construction Owner
Robert Shippy
In the 1960s, Lester Shippy, Robert’s grandfather, introduced his sons, known as The Shippy Brothers, to the fireproofing industry, setting the foundation for a legacy that would flourish. In 1984, Rolling Plains Construction was established by Terry Shippy, Robert’s father, alongside Sheldon Shippy. Following the untimely passing of Terry Shippy in 1991, co-founder Sheldon Shippy took the reins and continued to expand the enterprise. In the 2000s, Robert Shippy, Terry’s son, assumed leadership, steering RPC towards rapid growth in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Texas. Today, RPC stands as the largest fireproofing company in the nation, with a workforce of over 1,100 employees and under the leadership of Robert Shippy.
