Robert Shippy
The Shippy family’s history in fireproofing began in the 1960s. During that time, Lester Shippy introduced his sons to the industry. Together, they became known as the Shippy Brothers.
In 1984, Terry Shippy, Robert’s father, founded Rolling Plains Construction alongside Sheldon Shippy. Their work helped establish the company’s future in specialty fireproofing.
Sadly, Terry Shippy passed away in 1991. Following his passing, Sheldon Shippy took over leadership and continued growing the business.
During the 2000s, Robert Shippy, Terry’s son, stepped into a leadership role. Under his direction, Rolling Plains Construction expanded its operations into Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Texas.
Today, Robert Shippy leads Rolling Plains Construction as its owner. The company employs more than 1,100 people and supports major projects across the United States.
Through three generations of family history, RPC has continued to grow. Above all, its legacy reflects decades of hard work, leadership, and experience in the fireproofing industry.
