The Boys & Girls of the Valley Club Honoring Robert Shippy

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Arizona Stars Gala honored Robert Shippy with the Heart of a Champion Award, recognizing his lifetime of leadership, generosity, and remarkable achievements in support of the organization and the broader community. The evening was a celebration not only of Bob’s accomplishments but also of the many lives he has touched through his dedication and commitment. Bob’s story, shared during the event, was both inspiring and heartfelt, resonating with attendees and reminding them of the power of service and philanthropy.

The Shippy Ranch silent auction raised $640,000, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of the Valley. The Heart of a Champion Award is highly prestigious, with only 25 recipients, including Shaquille O’Neal and Larry Fitzgerald. Among these honorees, Robert Shippy was the only one to receive a standing ovation.

Congratulations to the Boys & Girls Clubs on hosting such a successful event that brought together supporters from across the Valley and raised impressive funds. The silent auction, featuring a custom trip to Shippy Ranch, contributed significantly to the evening’s success and demonstrated the community’s strong support for the organization’s mission

Boys & Girls Club of the Valley

Boys & Girls Club of the Valley is a nationwide organization that provides a safe haven for young people, offering educational, recreational, and mentorship opportunities. Their dedication to enabling young individuals to reach their full potential aligns with our values at RPC. We stand with the Boys & Girls Club of the Valley by volunteering, donating resources, and participating in programs that empower youth to thrive and succeed. Together, we’re building a stronger future for our communities.

The Native American Basketball Invitational

For almost 20 years, NABI has been known for being North America’s largest and most prestigious all-Native American Basketball tournament, serving high school-age youth! Since its inception in 2003, supporters include the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Nike N7, many Tribes, Rolling Plains Construction, and other major corporations across the U.S. NABI believes using the love and sport of basketball is the perfect tool to unite thousands of Native/Indigenous youth, inspire them to continue to develop and play basketball and use their talents and skills to pursue higher education while striving to become tomorrow’s leaders. 

Solid Rock Foundation for Children

The Solid Rock Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of at-risk youth through music, arts, and mentorship. By providing a safe and supportive environment, they help young individuals channel their creativity, build valuable skills, and develop a sense of belonging. ​ RPC is proud to be a partner of the Solid Rock Foundation, supporting their efforts to inspire creativity and provide opportunities for personal growth. Our team actively engages with their programs, sharing our passion for music and the arts to make a positive difference.

Backpacks for Kids

RPC’s Shelby Shippy went above and beyond in putting together 40 backpacks (filled) to donate to “Backpacks for Kids” which is a non-profit organization in Arizona. A big Thank You to Shelby for taking the time to help RPC support such an amazing cause and for baking all of our goodies!

Rolling Plains Donates 25k to GCON

​GCON Gives is the culmination of 19 years of hard work, dedication, and the desire to make an impact on our communities. Since GCON’s inception, we have supported our community and the passions of our teams to give back. In 2021 our staff took an amazing step to further this mission by leading a grassroots effort to establish an organization dedicated to utilizing the resources, network, and horsepower of GCON Inc to make sustainable long-term impacts in the communities we reside.  We are proud to support GCON Gives and even more proud of the GCON team members dedicated to making a difference in our community. – Mike Godbehere
